The facility needs of the Berwyn Fire Company have been identified over the last several years, and with the Tredyffrin & Easttown Townships Supervisors, a plan to replace the existing Main Station on Bridge Avenue and a new Substation in the Gateway area has been developed. This infrastructure plan is designed to  effectively meet the Fire & EMS needs of the Tredyffrin-Easttown Community for decades to come.

In October 2021, a Joint Resolution was passed by Tredyffrin & Easttown Townships to fund up to $4,500,000 of construction costs of the replacement of our Main Station. Additionally, upon completion of that project, the building of a permanent Substation in Tredyffrin Township will be addressed. Project costs have remained a critical focus throughout the planning and design process and the Fire Company continues to seek Grant Funding at the County, State and Federal level.

In order for these stations to become a reality, the Berwyn Fire Company is targeting to raise an additional $2,500,000 in Capital Donations from the Tredyffrin-Easttown Community. These donations, along with anticipated State Grants, funding from Tredyffrin & Easttown Townships, plus cash on hand, will ensure that these projects are both completed in a timely manner.

Phase I costs are budgeted at $8,600,000 to replace our main Fire Station at 23 Bridge Avenue.

Phase II costs are budgeted at $5,600,000 to build a permanent substation in Tredyffrin Township.
